The prompt

I want you to create an original characters based on me as if we existed in the Star Wars Universe. Use my uploaded photo you choose the clothing and pose.

Use the personality traits, interests, skills, strengths, weaknesses, values, communication style, problem-solving style, and general temperament you can infer from our conversation. Do NOT simply copy my real-life biography into the Star Wars Universe. Instead, creatively translate those traits into a believable and original Star Wars Universe character.

Determine whether I would be a hero or villain character, and explain why.

Create a detailed character profile including:

  • Name (You Choose)
  • Faction and rank/status
  • Primary and secondary specialties
  • Personality
  • Greatest strengths
  • Greatest weaknesses
  • Military/field role
  • Uniform and visual design
  • Signature equipment and weapons
  • Personal vehicle, if appropriate
  • Catchphrase(s)
  • Character gimmicks or recurring jokes
  • Relationships with important Star Wars Universe characters
  • Relationships and rivalries with important Hero/ Villain characters
  • How existing characters would perceive this character
  • Their role within the larger team
  • Their character arc and development
  • A classic Star Wars Universe file card
  • A brief description of what their action figure and accessories might look like

Keep the character original and complementary to the established cast rather than making them a replacement for an existing character.

The character should feel like they genuinely could have appeared in the original video game, including its exaggerated technology, colorful military aesthetics, memorable personalities, humor, and occasional absurdity.

Make the result imaginative, specific, and detailed enough to serve as the basis for an illustrated character/lore sheet.

What came back

TAVREN VOSS — “PATCH”

The Rebel commander who makes sure there’s someone left to celebrate the victory.

You’re a hero—with an inconvenient streak of independence. Your curiosity, protective instincts, practical problem-solving, and resistance to pointless authority translate naturally into a Rebel. Your temptation wouldn’t be ruling the galaxy. It would be deciding that everything would run better if everyone just let you handle it.

This is an original character concept set during the Galactic Civil War. The relationships below are imagined additions to that setting.

Faction and status

Rebel Alliance commander, Field Systems and Extraction. Leader of Lantern Team, a small unit tasked with retrieving stranded personnel and keeping threatened settlements alive.

He has repeatedly declined promotion to a headquarters position.

“I’ve seen the chair. Doesn’t even have engines.”

Origin

Voss once maintained emergency infrastructure aboard a sprawling civilian orbital station. When an Imperial governor ordered its lower decks sealed during an evacuation, he rerouted the governor’s private docking power to open the escape corridors.

Thousands escaped. Voss became a wanted man.

He joined the Rebellion because resistance needed more than people who could destroy a station. It needed people who could get everyone off one.

Specialties and field role

Primary: Combat engineering, emergency extraction, and connecting incompatible machinery.

Secondary: Low-altitude piloting, field negotiation, and improvised defensive tactics.

His signature technique is “Borrowed Power”: physically linking nearby systems to turn enemy infrastructure into an escape route. A turbolift powers a shield. A searchlight becomes a decoy beacon. A cargo conveyor launches an extremely surprised boarding party.

It requires access, cables, and time. He cannot remotely commandeer an entire Star Destroyer with a clever wrist tap.

Personality

Warm, observant, dryly funny, and difficult to intimidate. He gives short, clear instructions and invites disagreement—provided it comes with a workable alternative.

He solves problems by watching what actually happens, testing a small change, and adapting. Grand speeches make him restless. Curious people make him interested.

Off duty, he races repulsor boards over salt flats and collects recordings of unfamiliar planetary music. He believes freedom should include something enjoyable to do with it.

Greatest strengths

  • Calm under pressure: He makes terrifying situations feel manageable without pretending they’re safe.
  • Practical imagination: Sees possibilities in equipment everyone else has written off.
  • Protective leadership: Knows his crew as people, including when they need pushing and when they need relief.
  • Persistence: Keeps searching after the sensible options have disappeared.

Greatest weaknesses

  • Over-responsibility: Treats another person’s suffering as evidence that he hasn’t done enough.
  • Compulsive improvement: Occasionally upgrades reliable equipment into fascinating unreliable equipment.
  • Stubborn independence: Accepts help later than he should.
  • Predictable compassion: An enemy can bait him with a distress signal.

His greatest danger is exhaustion disguised as dedication.

Uniform and visual design

Your recognizable bald head, blue-gray eyes, natural facial lines, and knowing half-smile anchor the design.

Voss wears a charcoal field jacket over a slate-blue mechanic’s suit, battered teal armor, and a burnt-orange shoulder stripe. Bronze fittings, visible repairs, and heavy boots give him a distinctive silhouette.

His helmet hangs at his hip until needed. His rank insignia is smaller than his toolkit.

Signature pose: One boot on a cargo crate, an escape map glowing above his wrist, looking as though he’s just discovered a solution nobody will particularly enjoy.

Equipment and vehicle

  • “Courtesy” ion carbine: Disables machinery; carries a conventional blaster sidearm for threats it cannot stop.
  • Rescue tether launcher: Grapples, retrieves, and occasionally drags an officer out of a discussion.
  • Wrist route projector: Displays exits, structural hazards, and remaining evacuation time.
  • Bridge-spool harness: Connects mismatched power systems. Can overheat spectacularly.
  • NIT-7, “Nit”: A squat, orange, single-wheel utility droid that records every unauthorized modification.

His ship, Second Wind, is a compact twin-engine courier with excellent maneuverability, reinforced landing gear, and retractable casualty bunks. Fast enough to escape trouble; too small to solve every crisis.

Catchphrases and recurring jokes

“Everyone out. Arguments later.”

“That’s repairable. Your attitude might take longer.”

“I said it would work. I didn’t say it would be elegant.”

Nit announces repair estimates immediately after Voss says, “Small adjustment.”

Voss labels experimental switches TEMPORARY. Some labels are eight years old.

Established-character relationships

CharacterRelationship and perception
Leia OrganaRespects his competence and civilian priorities. Challenges his habit of personally owning every casualty.
Han SoloFriendly friction: Han wants the fastest departure; Voss wants the final passenger aboard. Each quietly trusts the other.
ChewbaccaA strong working friendship built through repairs. Chewie recognizes when Voss’s humor is concealing fatigue.
Luke SkywalkerAppreciates his grounded perspective. Voss respects Luke’s compassion while remaining skeptical of plans requiring mystical timing.
Darth VaderWould regard him as a resourceful operational nuisance. Voss survives encounters by arranging escape, never by matching Vader in combat.
Boba FettA dangerous pursuit rival: Fett learns to watch the rescue route instead of following Voss directly.

His principal original antagonist is Imperial Commander Sera Krail, an infrastructure-security officer who treats populations as expendable variables. She weaponizes his compassion with staged emergencies.

Team role and character arc

Voss is the team’s connective tissue: he turns the scout’s discovery, the pilot’s window, and the medic’s needs into one achievable plan.

Initially, he believes being indispensable means being valuable. Krail exploits that belief, pulling him away from his crew through increasingly personal rescue traps.

His development comes through training others and trusting their judgment. In the climactic mission, he hands the crucial engineering task to his apprentice and follows someone else’s evacuation plan.

He remains protective. He finally stops needing to be everyone’s only protection.
